Beginning the school year with a focus on building relationships is natural; maintaining that focus requires real dedication and intentional effort. That's why this month, Capturing Kids' Hearts challenged schools to prioritize kindness and continue building relational capacity with their students and staff.

Student Council officers at Sharyland North Junior High in Mission, Texas, created Valentine's Day gift baskets for their fellow peers as a way to demonstrate kindness at their school.
Students at Lincoln Elementary School in Pana, Illinois, loved on their teachers by having all the students write and post a heart affirmation on each teacher's door! Who wouldn't want to start the day by walking in your heart-covered door?
Iberville Elementary School in Plaquemine, Louisiana, is issuing certificates to students demonstrating kindness on their campus! You can find these certificates under CKH resources at CKH.org!
Palms Elementary School in Perris, California, got creative! The 5th-grade students came together to create a kindness chain and bulletin board for the district office.
